While walking the pooch last night I ran into a neighbour. While she did recoil in horror when I told her that I'd eaten Camilla the rooster, she gave me a nod and said "thank you for not being a hypocrite".
(backstory- when Cheep the chick found her way home with me last summer, I promised the neighbours "no roosters- it's breakfast or dinner for the chicken")
