move over, watch out Hogan!

Definition;

Pork Up the Sleeve:: p-ORK up the slEE-vE ,

  1. (noun) wrestling move, mastered by the greats (verb) to pork one up the sleeve. Literally to take one by the arm handles from behind and launch them over your head, victim must be flexing to ensure greatest handle structure.
(in order to flex arm handles to maximum handleage proportions, raise elbows to shoulder height, while turning fists downward, palms back, act as though pushing up from a table, handles should form naturally.)

  2. the act of pork falling down one's sleeve while eating a pulled pork sandwich.

Mmmm; I love pulled pork sandwiches. Oddly enough, I just had one myself Saturday afternoon, at Hot Belly Mama's, along with sweet potato fries, jambalaya, and three pints of good Olde Stone beer.

You really like the smell of horse farts, Lesley? Not something most people would publicly admit.

(A brother in Christ and former K/Ler, who knew you seven years back; BTW, I was there at Hot Belly Mama's with another former K/Ler, who also knows you. And we were chatting about your blogs, this one and that whyarewesingle group blog you're involved with.)

Cheers!

Come now, Lesley; did I make so little impression on you that you can't remember me? I should think you do - though you may not want to; I was a bit of a bad boy - a rebel and a troublemaker - and, as a matter of fact, I still am! ;)

L.Bo Marie said...

um, Vic?
ok... your first year as well? which floor?

current facts:: L side, male, Christian, in the ptbo area currently (or at least visits), still in touch with other K/Lers...

L.Bo Marie said...

other fact.. enjoys hot belly's and olde stone....

L.Bo Marie said...

and using a fleming college IP address....

Not Vic.

Not my first year.

Third floor.

Yes, I was a TCFer.

Fleming College IP? Shouldn't be; should be the Cogeco server - my internet provider, I would think. But then, maybe they are somehow linked; I have no idea.

BAH! I'm aweful at this game.. and feeling worse by the min. because I should know the answer... but I can't figure it out.. and I'll be super embarassed (more then I already am) when I do find out... and ... ug.
lol.. I was trying to even just name everyone in Kside... I can name my floor. That's it. Would it be cheating if I asked around for a copy of the K/L t-shirt?

I was tempted to just end this and call you up and identify myself as your interlocutor, but then, what would the fun be in that? I'd rather prolong your agony. ;)

Hey, there are no rules, lol. Do what you gotta. You might even see if you still have that room # & phone # list that Monica or Cailan or someone put together. Either way, once you're reminded which 3 guys were on L3 , I'm positive you'll figure out which one of them I am. (There were two girls on my floor that year, Tracey something - Patel, I think - and Paula Schmidt.)

Hmmm. I was just looking for my K/L shirt, since you reminded me of it. I can't find it, and now that I think about it, I probably threw it out due to it getting damaged by acid or oil or something; I often wore it at my last workplace, if memory serves.

L.Bo Marie said...

um... lol.... is anyone else finding this creepy?
;)

Sorry, Lesley; I didn't mean to creep you out or scare you; I realize now how that could seem that way, esp. with the link in that last post. I was just goofing around. (I have tried to give you lots of clues, you know - I'm not trying to disguise my identity, as I imagine someone genuinely creepy would do, I'm actually trying to see if you can figure it out, lol.) But I'll end this presently, it's gone on long enough, anyway.

L.Bo Marie said...

slightly creepy.. but mostly just making me annoyed with myself... I've got THE worst memory out there... seriously... ask around... so I'm feeling worse and worse for not knowing who it is.

Hey Lesley. I don't have a blog of my own (for the life of me, I don't understand the impulse to keep a diary of potentially one's most intimate thoughts, online for all to see, but hey, it's a free country), though I used to be in a group blog (a church group blog), and hence have this blogger identity. This is the short form of my first name; as for my last name, it's the same as that of your friend Laura, through whose blog (which I found by accident, by just poking around for Reformed blogs - I'm Reformed now, though not CRC like her or Mark Waenink but a more traditionalist, non-evangelical church) I found the link to yours, quite by accident.

I don't know what possessed me to play this game; I just thought it'd be fun, I certainly didn't mean to frighten you or anything, my apologies for inadvertently alarming you.

Just thought I'd say hi, in a roundabout way.

That's all!

Now do you remember me?

I'd chat more, but not here, either by email, MSN Messenger, or telephone - but only if you wish to. If not, that's fine; whatever. Like I said, I was just saying hi, but having a bit of fun doing so.

But, if you're upset with me, or don't particularly like me for whatever reason (for one thing, everyone was mad at me after the Laundry Schedule Incident, I know; for another, I'm pretty sure your friend Rachel didn't care that much for me, and perhaps you share whatever opinion she had of me), or whatever, and aren't going to respond, let me just say that I sincerely wish you all the best, my sister - whatever you may think of me, I nevertheless think highly of you. (Even if I joke and tease; don't take it too seriously, that's what guys do to girls, you know.) All the best, Lesley. Take care, and God bless!

Hey Will, sorry ... I guess I figured you were fourth year, fourth floor...
even the internet is a small world, it never ceases to amaze me. you seriously found this site thru stew's blog??? that's really crazy!

Will S. said...

Hi Lesley,

LOL, yes, I was in fourth year, but I was in L34, actually all three years I was at Trent (I skipped first year), I was in that same room, as it happens.

Yes, I found your blog through your friend's blog - I don't know her, but I was looking earlier at various Reformed blogs, came across hers - and her being a Stewart, I naturally was curious - not too many Stewarts in Dutch Reformed churches - and when I saw your name in her blogroll, I knew it was you, because how many other Lesley Boileaus could there be, lol. (I have sometimes in the past, Googled the names of people I know, wondering where they are and what happened to them, but I didn't in this case.)

BTW, I'm still in touch with Chad, and it was him I visited in P'tbo last weekend; he's the only other K/Ler I've stayed in touch with; once in a while we get together at the Olde Stone or Hot Belly Mama's. I live back in my home region, too - in the Quinte region, between Belleville and Trenton. (Like you, though, I've been away for a while - in my case, upstate New York, and Alberta - but I've been back home a year now, too. It's good to be back in Ontario.)

Anyway, that's about it. I'm working, outside of my field at present, but hoping to work again soon within it; I'm still single, too - and that's about it; I really don't like to post much personal details about my life online (I guess I'm just too private a person; you and your blogging friends are far more courageous than I'll ever be, in that regard) - I just thought I'd say hi.

Take care! God be with you.
